My mother is an IV drug user and she has treatened to kill herself several times, she almost suceeded one time. She refuses help with her addiction to Oxycontin, cocain, heroin, zanax’s, and a number of other drugs because she claims her rhematoid arthritis is going to kill her anyway. I have contacted 8 different organizations, along with the police, and they refuse to do anything because she has to admit she’s planning on killing herself within the next 24 hrs. I’m telling ya, the state of VA is horrible when it comes to these matters. They’d rather lock you up than help you! My mother is 48 years old and she can’t complete a sentence without her mind wondering off to another subject! My children are in counseling because they have told me that they want to die if their Me-Me does! What am I to do? I wish the police could just come and get her and make her complete several months of treatment, but they refuse to do this! Can anyone give me some advise on what to do?
